John Tolentino (he/him) is a Filipino queer therapist who offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive counselling for individuals and communities navigating identity and life transitions.
John’s approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in safety. He integrates somatic and parts-informed practices, emotional awareness, and meaning-centered reflection, while adapting to each person’s pace and needs. Clients often describe him as calm, attuned, and gently guiding—creating space for both depth and steadiness.
As a migrant and racialized practitioner, John holds an awareness of how culture, family, intergenerational experiences, and systemic pressures shape emotional life. He works thoughtfully with people exploring belonging, family dynamics, burnout, and the impact of social inequities on mental health.
John believes healing happens in relationship. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and reconnect with your own clarity and strength.
